The Global ESCO Network keeps expanding its reach and recently partnered with the Middle East Clean Energy Business Council (CEBC). With this partnership, the Network is now also represented in the MENA region as CEBC is representing ESCOs in United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Egypt. Established in 2008, CEBC is a non profit organization dedicated to promoting clean energy including renewables, energy efficiency, smart grid, energy storage and clean energy technology and solutions. The CEBC creates a forum for stakeholders to come together to exchange ideas and share information and it provides a platform to further dialogue between the public and private sectors to develop much needed policy and regulation to help drive the implementation of energy efficiency and clean energy across the MENA region.

We are looking forward to collaborating with CEBC and share the objectives to strengthen the dialogue between the public and private actors in order to improve the conditions for ESCO operation and remove regulatory barriers. CEBC is already participating in our on-going analysis of regulatory barriers for ESCOs. We would also like to take this opportunity to reiterate the invitation to all ESCO Associations in the Network to join this analysis.
